Arsene Wenger

Arsene Wenger who was born on the 22nd of October in the year 1949 is the manager of Arsenal FC and English Premier League club. Up to now, Arsene Wenger serves as the longest ever serving manager in this club and he also serves as the most successful manager of this club for he has been attributed with winning 11 individual honours since the year 1996.

In the 1990s,Journalists accredited Arsene Wenger with revolutionising football in England by introducing effecting changes in the training as well as diet of the players all the while as he was attempting to implement a philosophy that football was is supposed to be quite entertaining on the pitch.

Arsene Wenger was born in Strasbourg, France and was raised in a place known as Duttlenheim. Arsene’s father who was the manager of a local football team introduced him to football. Arsene played for several teams as an amateur and in the year 1981 he obtained a diploma.

His managerial skill made him more famous more than the years he spent as a footballer. He also had a stint as a manager of the club Nancy which cumulated in his dismissal in 1987 but in the year 1988 Wenger was able to win the league in Monaco.

In the year 1991, Wenger was able to guide his club to victory in the Coupe de France, but since he was unable to win the domestic championship in later seasons which made Wenger leave Monaco by mutual consent in the year 1994.

He went straight to Japan where he coached Japanese J. League side Nagoya Grampus Eight and he made the team win the Emperor’s Cup and also the Japanese Super Cup. In the year 1996, Wenger was named the team manager of Arsenal FC and two years later in the year 1998 he became the very first manager to be born outside Britain to win to win the English premier league and also the FA Cup double.

As a manager of Arsenal FC he was able to lead the club to appearances in the 2000 UEFA Cup Final and 2001 FA Cup Final and went on to replicate the double achievement later in the year 2002. In the 2003, Arsenal retained the FA Cup where a year later his team was able to regain the league making this club the first ever club in 115 years to go through an entire league season being undefeated.

Arsenal was able to win a record 42 league matches unbeaten and also continued to play seven more undefeated matches till the month of October the year 2004. Arsenal FC was able to make their very first final in a Champions league in the year 2006 after winning through ten games without conceding even a single goal.

In the year 2012, Arsenal FC was able to qualify for a fifteenth successive season of Champions League football but this was achieved by making the worst start to a season in a record 58 years. As Arsene Wenger continues to be the manager of Arsenal FC, the club has been able to move to a new training centre in the Emirates Stadium (in the year 2006) after spending a record 93 years in their Highbury Stadium.
